About stovetop kettles
Is my stovetop kettle induction suitable?
Yes, Essteele kettles are induction suitable.
To check induction suitability of any kettle or cookware piece, place a magnet on the base, if the magnet adheres, the kettle is suitable for use on induction cooktops.
Keeping your kettle clean
We recommend that you empty the kettle after each use, wipe the exterior on a regular basis, and dry the inside with a clean cloth.
If you are in an area with “hard water”, mineral deposits may form on the inside of the kettle. To help treat this:
- Fill the kettle with equal amounts of water and white vinegar.
- Bring to the boil, - Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour out the water/vinegar solution and rinse well.
You may also wish to try a proprietary descaler following the manufacturer's guidelines.
To clean the exterior of the kettle, use a non-abrasive mesh pad or damp cloth rinsed in soapy warm water. Please do not use steel wool, coarse scouring pads, harsh abrasives or oven cleaner to clean the kettle as these may damage the surface. Stubborn stains may be removed with a soft nylon brush.
